The automotive glass replacement industry relies on highly complex, fragmented workflows involving proprietary NAGS (National Auto Glass Specifications) part catalogs, manual VIN decoding, and tedious paper-based installer inspections. PGW required an enterprise-grade B2B e-commerce portal combined with a fully synchronized mobile POS system capable of empowering thousands of glass shops and mobile technicians to instantly decode VINs, check real-time branch inventory, schedule dispatch routes, and capture legally binding pre/post-inspection signatures without offline data loss.
Architected a unified cross-platform ecosystem utilizing React Native for the mobile technician POS and React for the B2B distribution portal, backed by Firebase and high-performance REST APIs. Engineered a custom camera module with edge-based barcode scanning for rapid VIN decoding. Implemented robust offline-first synchronization protocols using SQLite and background worker threads to ensure technicians in remote areas can complete job documentation, capture high-resolution inspection photos, and sync seamlessly upon network restoration.
